How do I customize the "Terms of Service" in my idea site?

To change the "Terms of Service" for your idea site:

  1. Login using an account that has Administrator privileges.
  2. Click your screen name in the upper right of the page, then click the Site Manager menu.
  3. Click the Idea Site Info link in the left sidebar of the "Site Manager".
  4. In the resulting page, in the “Terms of Service” section, click the "Use custom Terms of Service" radio button.
  5. Click the Browse button, locate the PDF or HTML file that you want to use for your "Terms of Service", then click Open. The file will be uploaded and validated.
  6. You can click the "View" link next to the uploaded file to confirm that it is the correct file.
  7. Click the "Force users to accept at next login" checkbox if you want users to accept the "Terms of Service" at their next login.
  8. Click the Save button to show the new "Terms of Service" in the footer of your idea site pages.


Notes:

  • The "Terms of Service" that is displayed in the footer of the "Site Manager" pages is not changed when you "Use custom Terms of Service".
  • Click the “Visit Idea Site” link at the top of the page to view the changes to your idea site.
